  1. Hi, thank you for this article. I’d like to suggest the paragraph starting with “The U.S. government reports that marijuana-related emergency room episodes are increasing” be updated to provide more proof to the claim that the statistic was carefully crafted.

It isn’t that the claim is wrong, but a reader doesn’t have enough proof presented, so he might see it as a baseless and biased claim. It could be that 90% of the visits really do have to do with marijuana ingestion (at least to me, since I don’t know the real numbers).

  2. If you want information on cannibus you might want to look into the movie “The Union.” It’s a well researched documentary that will also help you gcorrect some of your “myths,” “facts,” and other pieces of information. Cannibus does not cause cancer, is not addictive even when used heavily over long time (unless user has a psychological dependancy), and would improve upon your “gateway” arguement.
The gateway theory’s definition has been revised due to new research. The only reason it can be viewed as a gateway drug now is because you must go through a black market dealer, which puts all hard and soft drugs together. Thus creating the atmosphere in which more people are willing to try hard drugs due to their exposure of them.

  3. The government might as well just go ahead and legalize marijuana for one major reason. and that one major reason is simple: The war on drugs is never going to be a victorious war.

No matter what the goverment does, weed will still be around and will still be smoked and grown. you cant just wipe it out. remember the prohibition act? right after alcohol was banned, along came secret bars and bootleggers. and viola! alcohol is legal again because the goverment was able to tax the hell out of it.

Yet they cant tax marijuana??? what the hell is going on??? for wanting those tax dollars they sure dont seem to know how to get them.

  4. In response to Mike post is that to legalization of marijuana they find out the truth of this herb, remember alcohol they can tax and make good money on the bad health of the drinker.

Marijuana does not send people to the Hospital. They only want to legalization thing that is bad for your hearth. It’s about what will make them more money, “legal or illegal”.

  5. You want to know whats really messed up? Think of how many people are arrested every year for simple possesion. Now think of all of the tax dollars wasted on these people while they are spending time in jail; clothing them, feeding them, etc.

All of that money supporting the people that originally would have been earning an honest living, working hard at a normal job, and paying their taxes every year. If the government were to legalize weed, with the money used to support those in jail, we could pay back our national debt in about 20 years.

With that money ALONE. And to make matters worse our jails are becoming overcrowded. It’s just a sad situation when the government has no valid argument against weed, there are multiple valid arguments for it, yet they refuse to change the laws out of pure stubbornness.

  6. Cannabis is a miracle plant, its seeds are packed full of healthy nutrients, it eases alot of pain for people suffering from anywhere from minor to major health conditions that prescribed pills cant offer, it produces better paper than from trees, and is formed into better material for clothing than cotton. so tell me what does whiskey have to offer and the government should send me a fuckin email explaining the god damn importance of tobacco and nicotine.

Hell sounds like marijuana doesnt do anything but help and if not that its not harming anything at all while more people each year die from medications your doctor prescribes, alcohol poisoning, and cancer from cigarette smoke. if the government can be murderous fucking bastards then i have the right to be a cannabis patient.

  7. I’m not affiliated with any religion, but if you want to take that route, supporters have already joined that bandwagon with the burning bush and that it’s natural and god created plants etc. How about the fact humans have specific receptors for experiencing and enjoying the effects of marijuana, if a higher being created us with intelligent design and gave us that ability, wouldn’t it be an acceptable argument that it was meant to be? I personally want to see cannabis legalized or at least decriminalized in my lifetime, I don’t regret it and I will continue to use it until the day I die. Educate and never back down, peace and pot!

  8. As far as the gateway drug argument was posted, Jacob is right as far as the ideology behind it. However, according to the FDA of drugs, Marijuana is classified as a Class 1 drug, ie harshest restrictions. Cocaine, Meth-amphetamines and Opiates are all class 2 drugs.

Thus providing a good argument against gateway, “How can marijuana be a gateway drug to less harmful drugs?”
Residing in CA the most resent argument for making pot illegal again, is fear of retaliation from the Drug cartels for taking money out of their pockets. When I saw that on the tele I about lost myself.

  9. Nation wide Get high in the public eye festival to demonstrate the mass supporters of marijuana.

  10. One aspect as to why I believe marijuana should be legalized is the founding fathers definition of fundamental law. Fundamental law is law that no one is allowed to break and the founding fathers believed fundamental law is no longer effective if the public is no longer outraged by the crime.

I’m not certain on actual statistics but I believe that there are very few people who oppose marijuana use (marijuana users or not) and those who do are generally ill-informed and have little to no experience with marijuana. I consider myself to be a recreational marijuana user but I’m very passionate about legalization and so I’d like to say I appreciate this website and the people in it.

  11. true I readed somewhere that the goverment only outlaw pot because they what to get the mexico people to leave the united states.

  12. The goverment should in fact legalize marijuana because it heals way more than it kills it helps medically and i personally dont see a reason why the goverment dont make it legal and the only reason they dont is that they wont get no tax money out of it they are to worried that they wont get an extra 40 or 50 million bucks this american goverment is every thing but smart.

  13. the goveeyrment is over rated there are so amny people that do weed and that never get busted and the goverment should make weed legal so there will be less people arested from weed besides weed is the best thing you will ever have in your life man get some and try it fuck the law lets get weed.

  14. Going back to the gateway drug issue, i don’t think marijuana is a gateway drug at all, you know what a gateway drug is?

Alcohol, and the only reason pot could be a gateway drug is because it’s illegal and the only way to get it is from a “dealer.” hmmmmm what else do dealers sell?…. hmm oh yeah harder drugs, that’s right. Alcohol being convenient is far more of a gateway drug.

  15. The major issue I have is that we have virtually no control over the product we are getting. It can be sprayed with pesticides, herbicides, etc that we then inhale into our bodies. Since its not regulated and much is grown outside the US, it could contain harmful pesticides that we unknowingly consume. Marijuana users deserve the right to know where our product cones from, as with any other products we consume.

  16. im doing a report on this and this site is helping me out a lot thank you guys so much….. its about legalizing it and how and why we should.

  17. We should be free to smoke and grow of our own free will this is supposed to be a free fucking country that God put us on to nurture things, to make things grow. I feel closer to God when I smoke and I thank him for every hit) Fear of getting caught or fear that we are doing something wrong is what causes the paranoia!! I disagree with our government and our laws and wish I could change the way the world views Marijuana. Not as a drug but as a gift from heaven.

  18. Really guys whether you are a smoker or not- weed just makes the gov TOO MUCH MONEY illegally to be made legal.

Just think about it- Why would “they” want to legalize it when having it shipped over here provides a kickback/tax, illegal possession along with the court costs, tickets paid, jail sentences served( free labor) and just keeping it illegal keeps many people employed paying their paycheck taxes etc. Step back and look at the broad picture- of course it could be legalized and taxed and sold at the pharmacy just like alcohol and tobacco, but its soo natural i. e .

Nothing has to be done to it to prepare it for shelf life so no production, bottling etc companies have to be involved= less money. The ONLY WAY weed will be legalized, as we are seeing now, is if it has to be CHANGED FIRST TO A PILL OR LIQUID DROP or even added to certain food for purchase so companies can get involved in its production and storage on the shelf. The legalization of marijuana has nothing to do with the effects of the drug- short or long term- its a matter of gross income- a small bit has to do with its cultural past and stereotype ( racism and hippies/laziness).

  19. I want to add and sometimes i don’t know if im just stoned or right but, people always talk about how people are slower when they are high plus all that druggie good for nothing image people usually get from pot smokers, but i frankly believe that the brain activity increases significantly when ever i smoke. One is able to have a conversation and a simple word can trigger many many ideas.

The slow part i think comes from choosing what to say, it is true our brain is not used to that kind of activity and therefore one can even become tired. It is all a cycle. From so much brain activity some enery must be lost, something physical for example has to happen for that dehydration to happen. THC acts on the brain but it is not the direct factor that makes u want to eat. You know when people say that the flu is impossible to cure , that well it is true due to its amazing ability to mutate , but what we feel is not exactly the flu it is the symptom of the flu or better yet your body’s reaction to it.

Pot does not dehydrate you, you body suffers some kind of physical change that makes it use up water faster than usual and therefore get dehydrated, pot does not get you hungry , it is a symptom, which mean that pot triggers some kind of activity that triggers hunger, hunger is triggered by the search of energy, the body knows what it needs, this are just theories out of logic and normal thinking since im not specialized in this topics…im not exactly sure if i make my self clear.

I think pot accelerates brain activity which can sometimes cause people to reduce their capability to follow a simple line of thought cause to many connections are being made at once and the brain is not used to it, with time vie found myself to take profit of the situation, people always say brain is a muscle , when im high i try to concentrate on what im thinking , question things, read, write, paint , draw, play my violin, and oddly enough i seem to don’t have short term memory loss, I must say i don’t abuse at all, a lot for me are two pipes on one week normal one every one or two weeks. i know it may sound for some really stupid, my dad’s a doctor , and my whole family practically.

I know scientists have studied this a lot and possible everything there is to know is already written, but how could someone explain this effects on me? i do not do any other drugs not even coffee, i do a lot of exercise and in my opinion pot has a only good effects. I never feel the need to do it, im fine with out it, the high feeling is not just the high image most pot heads portray, i think there are more scientific explanations as to way we feel like this. No body knows how more brain activity feels right?

Everybody says that the pot’s high is very different form all those hardcore drugs, how can we use the same word for a symptom from different drugs. its as says that vomiting is the same thing as diarrhea….. being high is not the correct term. if we want people to look at pot noose as a tabu we have to get rid of all the tabus it comes with. Most of the words it inspires as negative and given by a scared society….

  20. btw im not from the states but for example if my country ( costa rica) was to even consider the possibility of legalizing it , the strong influence the states has on latin american countries and most of all Costa Rica ( small country without an army and kind of poor) would make it almost impossible for it to pass.

The states as the developed country it is should be thinking as such. Here in Costa Rica , we have good grown natural crops, fruits and flowers. The business it would create for my country is unimaginable. Naturally grown in Costa Rica! How much would europeans pay for that? how much would you pay for that? I don’t think governments actually value the price this would have, you talk so much of the money the country looses by making it illegal, how much do you think it would make by legalizing it??????

The numbers are already done. How much do you thing tabacco companied pay in taxes? thats why they are legal. No one is going to deny that have a lucrative , legal job is bad. Of course illegal drugs make money, the mob in the state started around prohibition era, but how much money do beer companied make now days and ate cost of destroyed families due to alcoholism, in my country , not long ago the driving tickets price was raised and the penalty for drake driving is jail due to the increasing percentage of the population involved in this type of activity.

Marijuana is something that exists and cannot be ignored, if you think having it illiga in the states is bad consider that in developing countries such as mine! i mean im glad to live in upper class of society down here but the ignorance around this topic makes it all worse. The rejection towards its reality makes it all worse, the fallacies around it. You have no idea want the lack of information , what ignorance may cause in poverty. The amount of people that dye smuggling drugs. They are not us citizens! they are latins. Mexicans, gutemalans, i guess costa ricans too. Our country is a bridge.

The amount of money invested in getting smugglers is stupid when you consider that we need money for public schools, to pay more to teachers. Teachers in costa rica tell you what they earn and you would say is charity work what they are doing. the amount of money spent in DARE classes ( education of drugs in schools) just to here DONT DO ANYTHING, when probably in some public schools they go home and their mom is injecting heroine!!!!! come on!!! why cant it be more realistic. You should study this globally and resolve it locally ( in the US) inspire other countries!!! educate. Being a developed country brings responsibilities and this is one of them. Pot has always been a pacific drug make a pacific advertising of if. Solve social issues, strike poverty problems, ignorance is not the way educate.

PIE CHARTS WHATEVER. internet is to big to let people just look for it themselves if you want it done you have to do if for them. I WAS ELECTED president of my school 3 times in a row. ( lincoln school very prestigious in my country) and the only way of getting things done is doing them yourself people are to lazy even if it is to figure out something they are interested about!

My boyfriend use to be really against it after i sat down and explained why and how and that it is not just to look cool , because believe me some people think it is, he got me and now sees iyt completely different, and as an doctor of economy believes that it would be a profitable move for any country to legalize it, but it is key that with legalization you need education.

  21. I am 26 year old boy and i use marijuana for 6 years. marijuana is a herb it helps you in digestion as well as its a good medication alternate. i think marijuana should be legalized in some parts of the world. Especially in himachal pradesh kullu manali india.

  22. How do you fly with a medical marijuana card and marijuana. Do you hide it or keep it up front?

  23. I´m tired of reading lies about marijuana on the internet. A lot of teenagers saying bullshit.
There is big difference between marijuana with 1% of thc and marijuana with 20% of it. Some people smoke pot that contains 5%, or 1%, or 13% or 18%. It varies a lot. If you smoke pot with more than 10% everyday you will intoxicate your body, you will have withdrawals when stop for some weeks like with any other drug.
THC is not a soft drug but we can say that WEAK marijuana is a soft drug.
THC makes you go crazy like any other drug does.

  24. i ALWAYS HEAR FROM THE PRO SIDE , THAT WE COULD SAVE ALOT OF MONEY BY LEGALIZING POT.

THAT WE COULD MAKE ENUFF $$$ TO GET THIS COUNTRY OUT OF DEBT…. i SAY BULL$#@!…IF WASHINGTON THINKS THEY COULD HAVE MORE MONEY TO WASTE….THEY WOULD DO IT…ALSO HOW MANY JOBS WOULD THAT CUT and/or CREATE?

  25. Legalize it!!!

What do people need to do to push this issue – I would be glad to help – I live in Mississippi and the public needs to be educated on the real facts of this plant, (not a “DRUG) instead of all the garbage that has been in the media for years. Stop the lies and tell some truth about it. People fear what they don’t know – it is just ignorance of what you don’t know. And with all the crap in the media who would not be affaid of something they know nothing about.

This is a naturally grown plant and not a chemically made “DRUG” – Educate yourselves.

  26. Tim you need to do some research.

You are one of the many ignorant people out there – nothing personal. I can understand fully why people think like you. Do your research and smoke you a joint. And then come back – Don’t make negative comments about something you know nothing about. It is not near as bad as people drinking and smoking cigarettes (with alot worse side effects) – only difference is they are legal and a “Marijuana Plant” is not.

It is not a “DRUG” – Drugs are made by the Pharmaceutical companies. They are much more dangerious to ones body and mind that a Marijuana Plant. If you don’t belive me, get on your computer and look them up. Check out the side effects for even Tylenol. Which just last week stated they are lowing the dosage because it is killing people’s liver.

JUST CHECK IT OUT TIM AND THEN RETURN TO FIGHT YOUR BATTLE.

  27. The real reason why weed is not legal is because the people writing the laws wouldn’t make the money they do now. Most of these people have money in the energy, health care, paper and clothing good markets.

Hemp would produce more ethanol than corn and soybeans reducing our needs on foreign oil and reducing the amount of land we farm, returning more land back to nature. It also can produce paper without harming forest that takes years to recover from. Also producing better clothing material than cotton I am a lyme disease patient and marijuana was the only thing that calmed the nausea and pain. I didn’t hardly eat for two and a half weeks and lost 35 pounds, before I tried marijuana. Right afterwards I ate and began getting my strength back. After weeks of being on all these horrible drugs that just made me worst. Marijuana would help with a lot of ailments and thus the drug companies that have their hands in politicians pockets would be hurting.

Legalizing marijuana would also calm some of the violence in Mexico. We would not see an immediate impact because there would still have a high number of people that don’t want to give up that life. It would also help us get out of this terrible hole of a dept situation were in.

This is our nation, our founding fathers are turning in their graves seeing how present day politicians are running our nation and how they think they need to run the world. I’m tired of it all, but this is the first step of many to right this country.

  28. I really had to skip over some peoples bull*hit on here but I think this is awesome info and Ive seen the same thing on many many other sites I’m pro for legalization (and before anyone says I’m some drug addict or hippy or millions of other things.

I’ve never had pot or any other drug other then my own prescripts not even alcohol or cigs) but I am pro it’s helping my father brothers and could have helped my little sister live longer. my dad is proof enough for me that it helps with cancer and tumors. they said he wouldn’t live past 3 more months so we picked up and are moving to Cali, hes out there and legal, and has added months to his death date, they gave him 3 months back in November of last year.

The government is making shit loads of money off it being illegal but serious if you look they CAN tax it not only buyers but the farmers, it will create work as well. Pull your heads out of your *ss and open your eyes close your mouth and think before you speak or type for that matter. Every person going to jail getting pulled over and other shit for just having a pipe! (or earring with a pot leaf in one case i know of) is a waste of our taxes.

Love the bringing up our founding fathers here and there and how this and that and ya-ya bull. They smoked it when it was legal then the original constitution (first two drafts) were on hemp. Ive noticed a lot of the “prohibition army” are just repeating the junk we were “taught” (brain washed) in school. to be scared of it and the people who smoke it, its a “gateway” to harder drugs, and the millions of other crap I remember hearing for way too many years.

~ god is perfect, man is not. man made beer, god made pot~ ( had to add that lol)
    be safe

  29. WOW!!! I just fell in Love with this site. I am doing a report on legaizing and will be using this site for sure! And Thank You to Vera from Mississippi for standing up to Tim…it doesnt look like he had an arguement to come back with! I really hope one day it can be legalized and I feel this site was very informative! Thank You All!!!!

  30. Our government sucks why do they allow some people to grow and make a shit load of money and get away with it.

Why do they have to lock up the little people? The government could sell it and make a shit load of money if they legalized it,they are just like the cartels, if not worse. Look at all that is going on with alcohol, cocaine, meth, heroin, look at what really kills, cigarettes.

We need to get rid of all those old politicians.

  31. it’s not the old politicians that are making that decision. it more complicated. if the government legalizes (it would be prefered to just decrimalize,) pot, anyone can grow a natrual medicine in their home. this would mean that canadas top money maker: the medicine people (who kill thousands a year with their toxic and/or lethal precriptions), would lose a lot of buisness. also it would be pretty hard for the government the control who grew weed if it was legal so they probably wouldn’t make a tonne of money off of it. but i agree, they should let everyone smoke pot and start focusing on people who lose their lives to all of the drugs the other guy named.

  32. In my opinion, Marijuana is not harmless. Its more of a relaxer and medicine for those who Insomnia and all that. Marijuana is harmless because normally who we buy it from has either grown it themselves or someone who has.

  33. A drug, broadly speaking, is any substance that, when absorbed into the body of a living organism, alters normal bodily function

  34. Coffee contains 1,500 chemicals. Rat poison contains only 30 chemicals. Many vegetables contain cancer-causing chemicals. There is no correlation between the number of chemicals a substance contains and its toxicity. Prohibitionists often cite this misleading statistic to make marijuana appear dangerous.

There may be no correlation between number of chemicals in a substance and toxicity, but what do you say to someone who says there IS a correlation between TYPE of chemical and toxicity? You fail to address this. You also fail to address the study that tests BOTH heavy and casual users of marijuana, where both come out with inhibited cognitive ability. Oh, and the smoke in marijuana contains 50-70% more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tabacco smoke, so whether or not it comes to twenty a day or not the smoke is much more harmful.
Instead of playing on rhetoric, why don’t you use hard facts?
    http://www.nida.nih.gov/infofacts/marijuana.html

  35. Hey this site is awesome and i just like to thank all the people that comented TRUE facts 😀 im 15 ive been smoking pot for 6 years its amazing, try it.

  36. I think a few of you need to do a little more research. THC is a psychoactive drug. It crosses the blood brain barrier and has adverse affects on your brain. It can actually shrink your hippocampus, and your amygdala. Im not sure where most of you are getting your “facts” but I think it would be a good idea to do some actual scientific research and stop relying on your own personal experiences. That’s why marijuana will never be legalized. Everyone pro legalization is too stoned to actually argue a good point.

  37. shana you have no idea what your talking about when you say “Everyone pro legalization is too stoned to actually argue a good point.” that is a very huge assumption that everyone pro marijuana is a “pothead” it is true that some want it leaalized to get “high” but others want it for the fact that it is a very helathy natural substance for humans to consume it has natural oils and organic material good for the human digestion system.
why are we keeping somthing that naturaly grows in america illigalized? people dont die from to much marijuana consumption, where as 400,000 a people a year die of tabacco how does that make any sense to keep marijuana illigal and keep other harmful, Mostly non-native to our country, drugs legalized?

  38. i beilive that the Govt does not want to make marijuana legal because they already make tons of money on it…..most marijuana that comes to the U.S. does not come from mexico or asny other place on earth….most of it is grown an sold right here in good ol U.S of A…………and who do you think is putting it back out on the streets when they take it away from you??????THE GOVT!!!!!!!!!they sit and tell their lies about how bad it is for you yet alcohol is 100 times worse and so are cigarettes…but that crap is still legal……this country needs to wake up and see the truth about marijuana!!!!!!!!…its not bad for you…its not possible to overdose on it..and ive never heard of ANYONE getting stoned and going out to rob a bank or killing a family …..its absurd and insane to think that a plant that naturally grows that way and has been used by millions for thousands of years…is sooooooooo horrible for you!

  39. hey just want to say ive been smoking for 10 years now and still no health probs so every one who says that its bad for u are wrong

  40. I use medical cannabis for the fibromyalgia I suffer with. I never was a user before and started using cannabis at age 52. Three years now with pain relief!
I am a straight 55 yr. old guy. I seldom drink alcohol. In fact, I no longer desire to drink a beer every once in a while since cannabis. A MIRACLE MEDICINE it is!!!!

What makes me most pissed is I believed all the BU** SH** for all those many years. Our dam*ed government is soooooooo corrupt!!

  41. I love this site, I’m doing a research preoject for civics and this site has so much information. Marijuana has done so much help too people with cancer, It helps me and almost everyone of my friends. I go through alot everyday weed is just one of the up sides in life and too the people that think it’s not good for you, You obviously need too start dong more resaerch with it. I know parents that have done it for 30 years now daily and they have absaultly no health problems.

  42. weeds has nothing to do with any negativities those scumbags are saying..actually weeds help people to focus in anything..legalize cannabis and bring world peace #420

  43. I hope a lot of people will become aware of these facts about marijuana. Thank you very much for sharing this information. I’ve learned quite a lot of good lessons about this matter in this post.

  44. we here in germany have problems with e-cigaretts, here in germany we have shops the sell Marijuana, the shops to do this have many problems.

  45. I am pro legalization for many reasons, as a tax payer for the taxes it could generate: to grow and or sell you need a federal and or state license to do so = REVENUE. To possess and or use you need a license to do so = REVENUE. Personally I would like to use once in awhile, haven’t done so since high school due to the fact that it is illegal and my career choice forced me to be law abiding. Now that my wife and I are retired we would like to use once in awhile. We do not drink alcohol very much but would very much like to enjoy some good weed.

  46. i need some advice.I have a plant thats nearly ready but i need to know when to harvest.the hairs are 50/50 browning and the smell has changed. It has become thicker and sweeter.Do i pull it and hang it now or leave it a bit longer.please help,i grew this from seed and daylight and dont want to bugger it up.Floyd fan

  47. I DON’T KNOW WHAT THIS GOVERNMENT IS THINKING NOT LEGALIZING THE WEED. THE TAX REVENUE ALONE WOULD HELP US OUT.FRANKLY I’M SURPRISED AS THEY ARE SQUEEZING THE LIFE OUT OF US ALREADY WHATS ONE MORE TAX.

  48. I’ve been going to a few different websites to get my facts. First, a negative one: Above the Influence. Then, a seemingly mutual one: boring, you don’t wanna know. Then, this one. I think this has me locked in on my answer, Jeff. Wait till I’m out of high school, because I don’t wanna risk it on their basis that on growing minds, it can be harmful. But if they legalize it in GA, I can wait till I’m 21 instead of in college. Peace, potheads! Be catchin up with ya soon!

  49. have been doing bud for 42 years now .since i fought the war in vietnam to fight for my freedom . since than when i was sent to vietnam ot fight for my freedom it is where i was introduced to mary -j and was for about 12 month in vietcong stoned stoned stoned .. bought some home back to the states with me and been growing, selling , smoking , and dealing to my brothers and sisters of this supposedly free america since than . In that 42 years in the state side of this free america it must have been free and legal to do it all along i thought for in that 42 last years and i am a healthy muscular 60 year old now and healthy as an ox . in that 42 years my wife has refused to except me to be smoking it and we still are and been married for 40 years now. the law in my area i mean all cops around here and believe me plenty of them know me never ever has suspected me as a mary smoker and would be flabagated to read this and find out i have been in many terms with herb for this last 42 years . they all never knew me to smoke deal or harvest . never ever been to court or jail or caught doing anything with it except by my wife . she hates me smoking weed , and i love it , ,it calms me from my hostile ,arrogant , totally a bastard mode and person , only to be quite, calm, and very reasonable as when i am stoned . the wife says it makes me forget stuff but how can it i still after 40 years of the day i married her i remember her telling me it is going to be either her or my pot. I chosse my pot . i still chosse my pot .. and i am still with her as she continues to smoke her poisoned tobacco products daily , , . and alot of it . . i stay stoned ,she stays mad . i stay calm , she stays angry at me . i calm and spend 30 amonth on pot 40 years later still and she continues ot spend 30 a every other day on her poisonist cigs. shame on her for not being smart enough after all this time that apperantly the only thinjg pot has confussed me of is after 40 years now smoking mary i can still breath, think ,and spell properly, , , i say LEGALIZE IT SO I CAN LIKE THE HOMOS AND LESIANS i can than get out of my closet and SMOKE FREE AS I FLY HIGH FREE, AND BE LEGAL TO NOW 42 years later do what i fought for, , ,my freedom to smoke what ever i want to put into my mouth . thank you ,,, see ya at the nxt pow wow . .

  50. Some salient points made above.

But consider: Do you want your surgeon performing a critical surgery on your mother stoned? Do you want the crane operator setting a 2 ton beam on a building stoned. Do you want the school bus driver driving stoned?

If you want to do drugs, you need to take on responsibilities accordingly. Do work that can’t hurt anyone if you are stoned. Don’t raise kids stoned. Don’t drive stoned. etc.

This is obviously the case for alcohol and other mind altering drugs.

I personally don’t smoke pot because I don’t want man boobs and my testicles to shrink in addition to having a clear mind.

    1. Seriously?? Do you know how many doctors I come across who are coked up before performing surgery? I work with a doctor now at Cleveland Clinic Florida who comes to work every Wednesday, drunk of his ass and performs colonoscopies. He has perforated his fair share of colons sir but some how, he made it as Chief of Staff. Dr. Weiss is his name, so make a google run. Then there are my fellow “old school” nurses who are stoned beyond the stone age and yet they may spend a little more time with patient care but who they take care of has NEVER left the hospital with an infection. I said that to say this: your speculations are clearly something you may have seen on TV but out in the real world, there are hard working parents and people who do their best because they smoke some bud. In your rant, tell me how many children of stoned parents compared to harder drug users and alcoholics, have been neglected, or how many bus drivers have gotten into accidents TEXTING vs. smoking bud. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

  51. Have potheads only deal with potheads for their needs. This way innocent people would not be harmed.

  52. alcohol kills people using it,Including the others the user hits with there cars,Shoot with there guns,Because there so drunk they dont give a shi!@$$,About the person there going to shoot! Or rape the female of there pick,Without remorse! Knowing that the first thing in court they use is!!!! Sorry your honnor,I was so wasted I cant remember anything!!Boom!!! Gavel hitting the judges desk top!!Case dismessed! This person did not know what they were doing!Ok!! What about that girl,Child,Or other person that was raped????Or killed!!?? Imprison Drinkers,End of story!!! Or!!!! Leave Marijuana alone!!! And im sure you know this is true!!!!!!

  53. Big tobacco co.s are the reson it’s illegal because they would lose to much money and wouldn’t be able sell their crap.

  54. The last Sanja Gupta documentary on CNN proves without any doubt that marijuana its a healing plant to the point of saving lives!
The illegalization of the plant is a travesty of society!
How can a sacred and beneficial plant be illegal? How long more society is going to be manipulated by the pharmaceutical, tobacco and alcohol industry??
How many more lives will be lost? How much suffering will the people have to endure?
Legalize NOW! There is no more excuses to keep this plant illegal!!!

  55. Testimonial
I’ve been using cannabis daily for the last 56 years.
I’m a successful entrepreneur, now retired, in super good health at 72 years and with a mind and memory sharp as a gillete blade and a libido of a thirty something man (ask my wife)
Have none of diseases that plague old age, cholesterol, diabetes, etc etc
    What more can I say!!!
Legalize NOW!!! Lets get the money from the cartels and give it to our education system!
    Wake up America! Legalize now!

  56. I stopped smoking Marijuana over 20 years ago. I was what I would consider a moderate to heavy user. The ONLY thing that made me stop was the fear of going to prison after being busted for growing my own plants at home. I went through NO physical withdrawals at all! Started smoking around age 16 & quit about age 37. I’ve always maintained employment (even though I wonder how now), & have a great paying job. No one should be made a criminal because they smoke weed. I never stole from anyone to get weed in my life! It is a victimless activity that with todays laws, can ruin a persons future for less legitimate reasons than alcoholism. Legalize it’s use with the same restrictions as Alcohol when driving. The only problem I see with that is that you can test positive the day after, without being under the influence.

  57. RC>>>>>
Sounds like you watched AND BELIEVED the movie “REEFER MADNESS”. Don’t make comments which are uneducated nor provided by someone who has no idea of the REAL effects of Marijuana. Those in professions that affect human life will not be under the influence of pot. If they are, then they would also not care if they were under the influence of alcohol when working. You have an ignorant point of view

  58. Bye the way,
If you are busted with a larger amount of weed & they add distribution to your charges, They will estimate how much income you made off selling & TAX you for it!

    1. that means you have never actually gotten high sometimes it takes numerous times to do it to get your actual high. it also depends on the grade of the marijuana you have smoked

  59. I simply state it should be legal. The whole new industry for the tabbacco industry to roll over to. Think about it. Leagalize use, regulate the growers, distributers, wholesalers, retailers, with laws. Keep it homegrown. Illegalize out of counrty imports of tax these heavier that homegrown. Make penalties for non-compliance to regulations and laws governing the sales, growth, and distribution, smuggling, or importation violation stiff. Then tax the hell out of the product so our governement will be strong. And in the end you’ll still have cheaper marijuana.

  60. Yeah. That means you have not gotten high. The first time you get “high”, the experience is OVERWHELMING
